With over 45 years of experience in tennis courts as a professional player and coach, he has had a remarkable career. As a junior player, he was a top ITF player and South American champion. He holds a degree in International Business Administration and was a top player in the NAIA division. He represented Ecuador in the Davis Cup and traveled the world playing on the ATP Tour. As a coach, he has worked with professional players such as Austin Krajicek, Bjorn Fratangelo, Emilio Gomez, Nicholas Monroe, and most recently, Michael Mmoh. He has also coached women's tour players like Danielle Collins and Sofia Zhuk. He spent ten years working closely with Nick Bollettieri. Additionally, he is certified by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) as a Professional Level 5. He is an ATP Coach.

His philosophy of life is to learn every day and strive to do his best. Certified by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) as an "International Master Professional" due to his extensive work and significant contribution to the sport, accumulated over 30 years of coaching and playing experience. Additionally, he has been certified by the USPTA as a Professional. One of his mentors was Nick Bollettieri, with whom he spent precious time on and off the court, learning valuable lessons and gaining insight from his expertise.
